"The Democratics in Minnesota are known as the Democratic
Farmer Labor party (members are DFLers) because back in the
1930's there was a relatively successful third party called
the Farmer Labor Party (Farmer-Laborites). They were a bit to
the left of the Democrats. They did manage to elect a
governor and some state legislators. Memory fails me if they
ever got any one elected to Congress. Though the most famous
Farmer-Laborite, Governor Floyd B Olson was getting ready for
a senate run when he died suddenly and unexpectedly of
cancer.
The Farmer Labor party was very populist especially in the
rural areas. You can still find old Farmer Labor types up on
the range. I've always thought Wellstone was probably more FL
than D.
As the Depression eased with WWII, the Farmer-Laborites began
losing ground and it finally dawned on them and the Democrats
that they were splitting their votes. So, in 1944 the two
parties merged and became the Democratic-Farmer-Labor party.
Every so often, like now, some people make noise about
dropping the Farmer-Labor from the name. A counter threat is
then usually made by the left wing that we would welcome the
name change as that would leave us free to form a new Farmer
Labor party and leave the 'new' Democrats behind."

Katherine Harris was born in Key West, Fla., raised in Bartow,
Fla., and resides in Sarasota, Fla. She is married to Anders
Ebbeson and has one child. Harris is the granddaughter of
Florida cattle and citrus baron Ben Hill Griffin, Jr., who
also served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1956
through 1963 and the Florida Senate from 1965 through 1968.
Harris and other family members inherited portions of a $500
million estate upon his death.
Harris has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Agnes Scott College
and a master's degree in international trade from Harvard
University. She was an IBM marketing executive and vice
president of a commercial real estate company before going
into politics. Harris was elected to the Florida Senate in
1994 and as Florida's secretary of state in 1998. She left
that office, which was being abolished, in 2002 to run for

A MAGA Troll is someone who engages in any or all of the following:
1) Pitting two different factions against one another: The MAGA Troll hopes to maximize
a manufactured conflict in order to create opportunities to elevate their status.
While the MAGA Troll overtly aligns themselves with one side, they are in fact covertly
exploiting both sides as pawns.
2) Disrupting productive conversation with unproductive conversation: The MAGA Troll will
